Woodward Dream Cruise 2021
If there’s one car show you need to attend this year, this is it: The Woodward Dream Cruise 2021. After the COVID hiatus, event promoters and show goers are excited to light the fires and kick the tires. Not to mention that the lockdown has surely given every living soul more than enough time to “finish” the project car on which they’ve been working for a decade, right?
The event will take place on August 21, 2021, but everyone knows that the whole preceding week is packed with activities.
Per a recent post from Detroit Free Press, event organizers are hosting an ancillary event to the Woodward Dream Cruise dubbed the Woodward Dream Show, offering even more gasoline-fueled awesomeness to the calendar.
Held on the M1 Concourse racetrack in Pontiac, Michigan, the Dream Show will feature more than 1,000 classic cars and new sports cars, which will cruise around the 1.5-mile track, then park for up-close-and-personal evaluation by attendees.
The Dream Show includes gourmet food and libations, as well as appearances from hot rodding celebrities like Bob Larivee Sr., who helped to produce the annual Autorama show. Bob Larivee Sr. will be there to talk shop and sell his book “Hot Rod Detroit: A Complete History of Hot Rodding in the Motor City.”
The new Woodward Dream Show is scheduled to take place Thursday through Saturday, August 19th through the 21st, coinciding with the Woodward Dream Cruise. Tickets to the Dream Show are priced at $100 per day or $275 for all three days. Event organizers do not expect visitors to be required to wear face masks or observe social distancing by the time the event gets underway in August.
The big weekend breaks down like this.
- Thursday, August 19, 2021. CRUISIN’ M1 CIRCUIT. See your dream cars on the circuit for a driving exhibition. …
- Friday, August 20, 2021. WOODWARD DREAM SHOW.
